I recently came across Zoe Archer's first installment of 'The Blades of the Rose' series titled Warrior. I found the hero, Captain Gabriel Huntley, to be one of the most level-headed lead characters I've ever come across in PNR country. Confident but not cocky, he still managed to impress me. His counterpart, Thalia Burgess, is strong and courageous (of course) but not so much that she does not lose sight of the fact she needs Huntley-in more ways than one.
In some PNR's or most erotica works I've read, there can be a serious lack of plot. The plot in Warrior was refreshingly intriguing and I found myself wanting to really find out how it would all pan out. The mouthwatering erotic bits were the icing on the cake here. Nice, thick, real buttercream icing. Go out and get this one!
